Mt. Shacharut situated, West of the Yotvata oasis at the 'Arava valley and to the East of the 'Uvda valley at an altitude of +-600 Meters above sea level, is located in an arid and rocky terrain with an impotent ancient mountain pass on the road from 'Uvda valley to the Yotvata oasis and further on to the Edom mountain range in Jordan.

During archaeological survey at Mt. Shacharut I discovered 5 "Roded" type site and 2 goat corrals, in an area of +- 6 square kilometre , with interesting artifacts inc. flint utensils and shards, amorphous figurines ,"Yoni" stones and perforated slabs of limestone.
From the abandon of the "Roded" type sites and the assortment of the artifacts and the flint utensils found, longevity of the sites from the 8th to the 4th millennium BCE we can conclude that in those days folks established complex religion ideology with well established religious rituals.

As the sites spread over 6 square kilometres I gave an approximate GPS position just to get an idea about the general whereabouts of the sites.
