thanks for these pictures of Danebury Jim, its a very difficult place to get reasonable photos of. You have now saved me much time and effort in trying to put together something like this from some photos I took on a grey and rainy new years day, which would have been nowhere near so good.

You're welcome. This was taken on our second visit this weekend. We first tried on Saturday afternoon, but the rain got heavier and heavier and it was definitely time to go home. Sunday was a day of clear skies (and very low temperatures) and made for a bracing day out and about in Hampshire and Wiltshire. The chalk was still a bit soggy and slippery from all the rainfall the previous day. Lots of people at the hillfort walking their dogs and/or children.
